Proposal to Issue Notices of Concern for Delinquent OLAMS Reporting
Ms. Ino Okoawo provided a list of 11 schools which failed to comply with OLAMS attendance input reporting: ALTA PCS, Barbara Jordan PCS, Capital City PCS, City Lights PCS, Hope Community PCS, Ideal PCS, Maya Angelou PCS, MEI Futures PCS, Nia Community PCS, Roots PCS and Tri-Community PCS.
Ms. Okoawo noted that due to the increased number of schools a stricter adherence is necessary in order for the Board to fulfill its reporting requirements. She stated that delays in the input of attendance into OLAMS can hold up the process of satisfactory reporting to various agencies. Ms. Josephine Baker added that the final attendance report is sent to the Office of the State Superintendent of Education in an effort to establish unique student identifiers.
A motion was made by Mr. Anthony Colón to issue a Notice of Concern to the 11 delinquent charter schools and to require input of attendance no later than Friday, November 30, 2007 to avoid further action. The motion was seconded by Mr. Karl Jentoft and carried unanimously.
